Hopeful return to Europe for the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP quartet in Jerez

When the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto kicks off the eleven-stage European phase this weekend, all four riders of the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP team will be working hard to build a solid foundation. Not only for the fourth Grand Prix of 2024 but also for the rest of the season, in which the Moto3 pairing of Collin Veijer and Tatsuki Suzuki, as well as the Moto2 duo of Darryn Binder and rookie Senna Agius, will be fighting for numerous success stories.

The 1.77m tall Dutchman Collin Veijer showed just a fortnight ago in Austin, Texas, that he is one of the most promising candidates for the 2024 season and is hoping to follow up his US podium battle by bringing a possible top result on Spanish soil over the line. One rider who scored valuable points in Jerez last year thanks to his P8 is LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP newcomer Tatsuki Suzuki. The Japanese rider is also hoping to finish no less successfully than his strong sixth place at the Americas Grand Prix when the promising 19-lap race is waved off on Sunday.

In Moto2, Darryn Binder and Senna Agius are two riders on a big mission. It has not been an easy start to the season for either rider so far. Now the newly formed pairing is returning to a place that is associated with many positive memories, especially for the young Australian, Senna Agius. Not only did the 18-year-old make his world championship debut at the same venue as a replacement rider for his current team-mate in 2023, but it was also in Jerez that the youngster finished third in last year's Moto2 European Championship race. The extent to which the Jerez test in February will make the start easier remains to be seen when the free practice kicks off on Friday morning.

Darryn Binder had to miss the 2023 Jerez GP due to severe injury but is now all the more hungry to strike back at the 4.42-kilometre Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto, which is one of the absolute crowd-pullers. The South African wants to lay the foundations for a successful race already from the first practice session on Sunday at 12:15 (CEST). As usual, Sky Deutschland will be broadcasting all sessions live.
