• Enormous starting performance + High cycle stability,

  with the proprietary Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, Odyssey batteries offer both. Their 99.99% pure-lead plates are thinner than lead-alloy plates and make better use of space in the case than spiral-wound AGM batteries. Significantly more plate surface area for the chemical reaction provides significantly more power. Even at very low temperatures they deliver peak starting currents of up to 2,250 A for 5 seconds. TPPL also ensures low self-discharge, less corrosion and faster charging.

• More flexibility and freedom of movement

  Thanks to particularly short charging times and exceptional performance, even when the battery is partially charged, the operating times, duration and cycles of machines and battery-powered vehicles are largely determined by the requirements of the operation and not by the battery.

• Stable at high temperatures

  
  When used in particularly warm areas or in strong sunlight, chargers should be designed to compensate for the heat generated to prevent the battery from overheating (Thermal Runway = TR). Thanks to TPPL, Odyssey Extreme batteries overheat much more slowly than standard AGM batteries.
