intAct Bike-Power GELFor heavy loads, including ABS

Delivers 30% more starting power for modern motorcycles with many electrical consumers and covers consumption peaks. Low self-discharge, bike starts reliably even after up to 3 months.

Our recommendation if many consumers are installed or the motorcycle is rarely used.

Features

  • More starting power

    Motorcycles with many additional consumers, e.g. with seat and grip heating or connected navigation system, require significantly more power. GEL batteries withstand this cycling well, i.e. a consuming load, if necessary with recharging with a charger. Our intAct Bike-Power GEL also has a particular internal construction with a special grid structure, which enables an untypically high starting power for GEL batteries.

    Your advantage: Your bike starts even at low charge level.

  • Low self-discharge.

    The gel-like thickened electrolyte ensures lower self-discharge than flooded or AGM batteries. Super for occasionally or seasonally driven vehicles.

    Your advantage: You can leave your bike for longer without having to charge in between than with an AGM or flooded battery.

  • Shock resistant for engine vibration.

    Safely stored in the gel-like thickend electrolyte the grids lose less active material than in a normal AGM or flooded battery, so they stay powerful for longer.

    Your advantage: If your bike has a large displacement, the battery does not suffer as much as an AGM or flooded battery.

Characteristics

  • Even more cycle-resistant than Bike-Power AGM and Bike-Power SLA of the same box size.
  • Low self-discharge. For seasonal use.
  • Very high vibration-resistance. Electrolyte thickened into a gel-like mass.
  • 30% more starting power than a conventional battery of the same box size. For motorcycles with many consumers, including ABS.
  • Sealed maintenance-free battery. Refilling is neither possible nor necessary.
  • Wet charged. Ready to use.
  • Leak-proof. Can also be installed at an angle, as the electrolyte is thickened into a gel-like mass and the battery is factory sealed.
  • VRLA battery (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) with safety valve against gas overpressure in the battery.
  • Not well suited for repeated deep discharging (below 10.5 volts).

Check battery externally before charging

What is a motorcycle battery?

A battery that primarily starts the motorcycle. For this, the starter motor needs a lot of power for a short time. Important for this is the cold start power (CCA) that the battery provides, but also the characteristics. A battery with a high current reserve will start the motorcycle even partially charged, for example.
In addition, the motorcycle battery supplies the electrical consumers, since it is the only battery in the motorcycle. The more consumers are installed, especially retrofitted safety or entertainment features, the more capacity is needed so that the consumers are also supplied at idle or when the engine is off or the machine still starts after the consumers have been used.

 

Commissioning

A battery that is not fully charged when installed will not reach its full capacity in the future and will have a significantly shortened service life.

Even factory-filled and charged batteries can lose charge during storage. We recommend that you also fully charge them before installation.

Maintenance and Care

Absolutely maintenance-free batteries are valve-regulated lead-acid batteries or VRLA batteries (VRLA = Valve Regulated Lead-Acid) that are sealed at the factory. Here, significantly less gas is produced than in wet batteries. The gas produced remains in the circuit of the battery due to gas recombination. As a result, these batteries lose significantly less liquid. They do not need to be topped up, and it is not even possible to do so, as they cannot be opened again without damage.
