Arrival and assembly: The box comes to life
Wednesday and Thursday are dominated by arriving at the race venue and setting up the pits and hospitality. Imagine 45 crew members traveling from different places, which is a logistical challenge. The imposing truck, which is around 17.5 meters long and therefore the heart of the team, is unloaded. Equipment, consumables, catering - everything finds its place in the temporary workplace.
The motorcycles are completely dismantled, each part cleaned and reassembled, a process that requires the utmost precision. Riders, team management and engineers analyze data from the last race, discuss strategies and determine necessary adjustments to the machines: tire selection, suspension settings, electronics mapping - every detail counts. The race distance, the rules and the tight schedule require perfect preparation in order to be able to compete for pole position.

Friday: Free practice and initial assessment
Friday begins with free practice, a valuable opportunity for the rider to familiarize himself with the track and test the bike's set-up. The crew collects data, analyzes it and further optimizes the bike. This is followed in the afternoon by the first timed practice (Practice 1), which is counted together with Practice 2 on Saturday morning and decides who qualifies.
During training, there is a lot of activity in front of and inside the box.
Saturday: Qualifying - battle for pole position
Practice 2 is scheduled for Saturday morning, the last chance to make fine adjustments before qualifying. In the afternoon, the tension rises: in Qualifying 1, the drivers fight for a place in Qualifying 2, where the best grid positions are awarded. Pole position, the first starting position, is the goal of every driver.
In the evening, the collected data is analyzed again to determine the final strategy and tire choice for the race. The data analysts play a crucial role by closely examining the driver's behavior on each lap and making recommendations for braking points, cornering speeds and lean angles.
We give you a detailed insight into the work and tasks of a data recorder specialist in this separate, detailed article.

Sunday: Race day - pure adrenaline
Sunday is the highlight of the weekend. The starting grid is set, the bike is perfectly prepared. The crew is ready to react at lightning speed in the event of a tire change or other adjustments. During the race, the data analysts monitor every second, give the rider instructions and warn him of dangers. Communication takes place via the motorcycle's dashboard, on which the rider can see not only speed and gear, but also lap times, sector times and position information. In addition, signs are displayed manually on the pit wall.
