The perfect motorbike battery:
How to find the right size!

A motorbike battery has to be able to do a lot: Last a long time, deliver plenty of power and have enough juice for all consumers. But the most important thing is that it has to fit perfectly in your motorbike! Length, width, height - if you know what's important, you'll find the ideal battery for your bike in no time at all.

Motorcycle battery replacement: check dimensions & installation space

For starter batteries, the space in the motorbike is crucial. So: Raise the seat, remove the side panelling and take a look at the old battery. It's best to simply measure it, as the new one should fit back in. You can find out what you need to look out for in our article.

Measuring motorbike batteries made easy

Regardless of the shape of your battery - whether with protruding or recessed terminals - it is always the absolute dimensions that count. This means: the absolute length including the lid overhang, the absolute width including the base strip and the absolute height up to the top edge of the poles or up to the highest point if the poles are recessed.

Observe the correct circuit

The circuit is important to ensure that the poles are exactly where they should be connected. 

Imagine the battery so that the side with the poles is facing you. Now it depends on which side the positive terminal is on - right or left.
